The unfair treatment and disregard sometimes shown to people with special needs have to stop. Unfortunately, this personal story is just one of the many inexcusable instances of neglect shown by certain people of authority.
My son Aidan showed up to school like this; bruises in the middle of his back and scratches everywhere. These are a few days old, and no one reported this to me. The state is refusing to do an investigation, and now I have demanded it. New Jersey’s lack of action and sense of responsibility is unacceptable. I am reaching out to New Jersey State Senators and Assemblymembers. Please advocate for my son by doing the same.

Due to my vigilant advocacy, New Jersey State complied, and an investigation has been initiated. While I genuinely appreciate the state taking these necessary actions, it should not have been such a struggle to accomplish.
